Abstract

Leadership is one of the essential competencies that must be possessed by students as future leaders. The Student Basic Leadership Training (LDKM) is one of the effective training methods to develop this ability. This article aims to analyze the role of LDKM in enhancing students' leadership skills. Using a descriptive qualitative approach and literature review, it was found that LDKM has a significant impact on the development of leadership character, communication, conflict management, and decision-making abilities. These findings indicate that leadership training such as LDKM should be made a mandatory program in the development of students' soft skills.

Abstract

Mentoring in learning through Mentimeter Platform is highly essential for english teachers at SMA Negeri 12 Makassar. The unavailability of integrated technology-based learning media highlights the need to enhance teachers' creativity and the quality of learning, which must be addressed urgently. This training aims to boost teachers' creativity in developing IT-based English-learning media. This community service program adopts the Interactive Teaching and Learning method, using interviews as an instrument with a sample of 5 English teachers who also served as respondents in the activity through purposive sampling. The results of the program indicate improvements in teachers' skills in using Mentimeter and transforming conventional teaching materials into interactive, technology-based learning media. This progress was supported by students' enthusiasm, along with their high interest and motivation to engage with the learning English materials delivered by teachers using the Mentimeter platform. Moreover, the students’ active participation during the activities provided positive feedback and evaluations for the teachers, encouraging them to be more innovative and creative in designing technology-integrated materials and media. Students expressed a desire for more interactive and enjoyable learning experiences, which they found helpful in better understanding the material and actively participating in the learning process.

Abstract

UMKM Boga Sari Pecatu is a community-based small enterprise fostered by BUMDesa Catu Kwero Sedana Pecatu, specializing in the production of herbal goods. To enhance the productivity of the BUMDesa, the village has designated several flagship products for wider market development, including instant ginger powder to be produced by UMKM Boga Sari Pecatu. Although the UMKM has produced several items, it faces key challenges such as the absence of production permits, limited production facilities that hinder scale‐up, the lack of product branding, and the absence of standardized bookkeeping practices. Through this community service initiative, the implementing team carried out several programs to address these issues, including assistance in fulfilling PIRT registration requirements, procurement of a ginger grater machine to support larger‐scale instant ginger powder production, development of a UMKM logo along with packaging design and labelling, and training on simple bookkeeping practices applicable to small enterprises. The program, conducted by the Faculty of Pharmacy, Universitas Mahasaraswati Denpasar, proceeded smoothly and according to plan. The major focuses included permit facilitation, provision of production equipment, and strengthening of product branding through the development of logos and packaging labels. The outcomes indicate improved partner understanding of PIRT procedures and benefits, although the permit issuance process is still ongoing. In terms of branding, the UMKM now possesses a new logo and compliant packaging label design, enhancing product readiness for broader distribution. Bookkeeping training likewise improved partner knowledge, as reflected in the differences between pre-test and post-test scores

Abstract

This community service program was implemented through an English Camp integrating a Treasure Hunt activity using a Project Based Learning (PjBL) approach, aimed at improving students’ English competence, particularly speaking ability, communication fluency, and self-confidence. The program was conducted in Malino on 14–16 November 2025 and involved 148 accounting students who were divided into small groups and required to use English throughout all activities. The Treasure Hunt was designed as a collaborative project in which students completed a series of English-based tasks at four different posts, enabling them to experience learning through planning, discussion, teamwork, task completion, and reflective communication in authentic contexts. Data were obtained through direct observation, speaking performance assessment, and participants’ responses. The results indicate significant improvement in students’ confidence to speak, ability to understand English instructions, discipline, teamwork, and learning motivation. Furthermore, the program provided meaningful and authentic learning experiences that differ from formal classroom learning. Therefore, the Treasure-Hunt-Based English Camp with a Project Based Learning approach proved to be an effective and systematic strategy to enhance students’ English competence and is recommended as a sustainable model for strengthening English learning in higher education settings.

Abstract

This community service program aims to implement Artificial Intelligence (AI), specifically ChatGPT, in the teaching and learning process of Bahasa Indonesia at SMK Amanah Makassar. The program is designed to enhance the quality of learning through technology-based assistance that supports students in understanding lessons, expanding vocabulary, and improving writing, analytical, and critical thinking skills. The implementation methods include socialization of AI utilization, training sessions for teachers and students, classroom practice using ChatGPT as a learning tool, and evaluation of learning outcomes. The results indicate an increase in students’ learning motivation, interactive engagement in the classroom, as well as improvement in students’ writing performance, especially in producing structured and coherent texts. Additionally, teachers benefit from acquiring new competencies in integrating AI as a supportive instructional medium. This program is expected to serve as a sustainable model for implementing AI in education, particularly in Bahasa Indonesia learning at the vocational high school level..

Abstract

This Community Service Program aims to empower families in Bance’e Hamlet through financial literacy education and the strengthening of parental involvement in children’s learning. The program was developed in response to the limited financial management skills of families and the low level of parental participation in the learning process at home. The activities were implemented through several stages, including financial literacy workshops, parental training on learning assistance, the establishment of family support groups, field mentoring, and program evaluation. The results indicate an improvement in families’ knowledge and skills in managing household finances. Most participating families began keeping simple financial records, preparing monthly budgets, and allocating funds for their children’s education. Parental involvement in children’s learning also increased, as reflected in the growing frequency and quality of learning interactions at home. In addition, the formation of family support groups helped create a collaborative learning environment within the community. Overall, the program has had a positive impact on strengthening family capacity, both financially and socio-emotionally. The integration of financial literacy education and parental learning assistance has proven to be an effective approach to enhancing the role of families in supporting children’s educational success.

Abstract

This community service program implemented locally wisdom–based English learning media to enhance the communicative competence of senior high school students. The program aimed to (1) design and produce culturally grounded learning media, (2) strengthen teachers’ capacity to apply communicative tasks using the media, and (3) observe changes in students’ classroom interaction and speaking performance. The program was conducted at [Partner Senior High School], involving 35 students and English teachers as co-implementers. The service stages included needs assessment, collaborative media development, teacher mentoring, classroom implementation, and evaluation. Learning media integrated local wisdom content—such as local legends, historical sites, symbols, and everyday community practices—into communicative activities (role play, information-gap, storytelling, guided tours, and problem-solving tasks). Evaluation used classroom observations, teacher reflection logs, student questionnaires, and speaking performance tasks assessed with a communicative competence rubric (fluency, vocabulary, grammatical control, intelligibility, and interaction strategies). Findings indicate that culturally relevant media increased students’ willingness to communicate, improved peer interaction during tasks, and supported more meaningful speaking practice. The program suggests that local wisdom–based media can serve as authentic communicative prompts and identity-affirming content, especially when accompanied by structured teacher mentoring for sustainable implementation.

Abstract

This community service program aims to enhance the awareness and skills of the Mulyoagung Village community in sustainably managing livestock waste through the production of solid and liquid organic fertilizers. The activities were conducted using socialization, training, hands-on practice, and evaluation methods through pre-tests and post-tests involving 50 livestock-owning participants. The results indicate a significant improvement in participants’ knowledge and skills in understanding the environmental impacts of livestock waste and the techniques for processing it into organic fertilizer. Participants were able to independently practice the fertilizer production process and demonstrated readiness to apply the training outcomes. This program contributes to reducing environmental pollution and supports sustainable agriculture based on local potential.
