Abstract

Background: The aging process causes health problems in the elderly, including urinary system disorders. Urinary symptoms in the elderly are caused by decreased bladder function and decreased muscle tone around the urinary tract. Bladder sphincter effect or neurological dysfunction that causes loss of control over urination. Research objective: to determine the prevalence of Urinary Symptoms in the elderly. Research Method: analytical observational research with a cross sectional approach. Data collection was carried out using a questionnaire. Respondents were all elderly people who lived in the DPK Nursing Home. The instrument used is the International Consultant Incontinence Questionnaire-Urine Incontinence Short Form (ICIQ-UISF) using a diagnostic measuring tool for Urinary Symptoms, which is the ICIQ-UISF questionnaire which consists of 3 questions and has a total score of 21. Urinary Symptoms Score: 0-7, Urinary Symptoms score 8-14, Urinary Symptoms score: score 15-21. The analysis test used is with the help of the SPSS program. Research results: Residents of the DBK Surakarta Nursing Home based on the level of incontinence and female gender, the level of mild incontinence was 9 out of 31 respondents (29%), moderate was 15 out of 31 respondents (48%) and severe was 7 out of 31 respondents (23%). This is because with increasing age or the aging process, the urinary muscles will weaken and bladder capacity will decrease, and this is also supported by a weakening of the anal sphincter. Conclusions and Suggestions: The majority of elderly people in the DPK Nursing Home experience moderate levels of incontinence, so nurses and nursing home staff are expected to carry out further research, for example by providing interventions that can strengthen the pelvic muscles and strengthen the anal sphincter.

Most babies who receive exclusive breast milk have good nutritional status compared to babies who do not receive exclusive breast milk. Research Objective: To determine the relationship between the duration of breastfeeding and the nutritional status of 6 month old babies in the Karanganom Klaten Community Health Center working area. Methods: Quantitative research type with an analytical observational design with a cross sectional design. Samples were taken using purposive sampling as many as 52 babies aged 6 months. Data analysis using the Spearman rank correlation test at a significance level of 0.05. Results: The duration of breastfeeding alone for babies up to 6 months of age is presented in table 4.1. while the nutritional status of babies up to 6 months of age is in table 4.2. The relationship between the duration of breastfeeding and the nutritional status of babies aged 6 months with a correlation of 0.797, p value 0.000. Conclusion: There is a significant relationship between the duration of breastfeeding with the nutritional status of 6 month old babies in the Karanganom Klaten Community Health Center working area.

One of the non-pharmacological management of diabetes mellitus is progressive muscle relaxation and diabetic foot exercise. purpose of the Research: Analyze the difference in the effect of progressive muscle relaxation and foot exercises on reducing blood sugar patients with type II diabetes mellitus.Research methodology: The study used the Quasi Experimental Design method with a Static Group Comparison Design. The sample of this study was type II diabetes mellitus in the Sidoharjo Health Center, Sragen, as many as 56 respondents. Sampling using purposive sampling technique. Results: The results of the Independent Sample T-Test on progressive muscle relaxation and diabetic foot exercises showed Sig. (2-tailed) p = 0.777 where p value > 0.05. Discussin, Progressive muscle relaxation and diabetic foot exercises can be a complementary therapy to diet and pharmacology to help lower blood sugar levels. Abstract

Noise-induced hearing loss is a sensorineural type of hearing loss caused by exposure to loud enough noise over a long period of time. Hearing loss due to noise has an impact on life. The diagnosis of noise-induced hearing loss was obtained from a hearing examination, pure tone audiometry and audiometric examination results. The impact of noise-induced hearing loss is in several aspects, namely functional, social and emotional aspects, as well as economic aspects. This study aims to determine the effect of the duration of exposure to weaving machine noise on the risk of hearing imparement on employees of PT. Kecubung Mojogedang. This research is a quantitative research using a cross sectional design. The sampling technique is Total Sampling. The sample used was 40 people. The data collected will be analyzed by univariate and bivariate, the data analysis technique in this study uses the contingency coefficient test. The results of the bivariate analysis using the Contingency C coefficient test obtained a value of 0.367 with a significance (p) of 0.013. The significance value (p) is smaller than = 0.05, meaning that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, which means that there is an effect of the duration of noise exposure with the risk of hearing loss in employees who work at PT. Kecubung Mojogedang

Abstract

Not all hearing impaired children can understand speech just by reading lips. That way, it requires the right way to improve receptive language skills, one of which is using the modeling method. By using the modeling method, it is hoped that children will more easily understand what other people are saying. The aim of this study was to determine the effect of the modeling method on receptive language skills in children with hearing loss aged seven to ten years. The type of research used is quantitative with a one-group pre and post test only design. The data collection technique uses total sampling with a sample of 8 respondents. The research instrument used was ROWPVT (Receptive One-Word Picture Vocabulary Test) and the modeling method module. The results of the pair t-test test obtained a significance of 0.000 which stated that there was an influence of the modeling method in improving receptive language skills in children with hearing loss. The correlation coefficient (r) obtained a result of 0.996 indicating a very strong influence between the modeling method and receptive language. Based on data analysis, the modeling method has an effect on improving receptive language skills in children with hearing loss.
