Abstract

Brachial Plexus Injury is a severe peripheral nerve injury that affects the upper extremities, resulting in functional damage and physical disability. Patients with this condition will experience functional limitations in the upper limbs due to a decrease in joint range of motion and muscle strength, thereby affecting productivity. The aim of this research is to determine the improvement in the quality of life of Brachial Plexus Injury Patients through Entrepreneurship Assistance in the Brachial Plexus Injury community. Research Method: This research uses a quantitative descriptive research design. The research was conducted in the Brachialis Plexus Injury community with a sample size of 25 patients using probability sampling techniques with simple random sampling. The instruments used were questionnaires about entrepreneurial intentions, entrepreneurial personality, family support and quality of life. The analysis test used is the multiple linear regression assumption test. Research Results: There is an influence of entrepreneurial mentoring including family support, entrepreneurial intentions, entrepreneurial personality on the quality of life. The F count results are 17.045 with a significance of 0.000. It is known that the G table value is 3.08 because the calculated F value > F table means HO is rejected and Ha is accepted, meaning that there is a significant influence between entrepreneurial assistance on the quality of life of patients with Brachial Plexus Injury conditions. There is a correlation between the variables Family support (X1), Entrepreneurial Personality (X2), Entrepreneurial intentions, with a significance value of 0.000. This means that the significance value of the three variables is smaller than 0.05 or in other words 0.000 > 0.05. So it can be concluded that there is a correlation. To see the level of closeness of the relationship, it can be seen from the R Square of 0.709, which is strongly correlated (according to the rules, if the value is 0.61 to 0.80, it is in the strong correlation category). Conclusion: There is an influence of entrepreneurial assistance including family support, entrepreneurial intentions, entrepreneurial personality on quality of life

Abstract

Background: Pregnancy begins at conception and lasts until childbirth. During this period, pregnant women experience both psychological and physical changes that can lead to back pain. The initial cause of back pain is the forward growth of the uterus, which shifts the center of gravity of the earth towards the lower body. To help alleviate back pain in pregnant women, a maternity belt can be used to increase lumbopelvic stability by simultaneously pressing on the sacroiliac joint surface and positioning the sacroiliac joint in a specific position to enhance stability. In this research, before and after the intervention, the level of pain will be measured using the Numeric Rating Scale (NRS). Objective: to determine whether the level of back pain in second-trimester pregnant women decreases after using a maternity belt. Method and Subjects: This study is a quasi-experiment with a pre-test and post-test design. Samples were chosen using purposive sampling. The research instrument used the Numeric Rating Scale (NRS) and was analyzed using the Wilcoxon test with SPSS. Results: The pain scale before using the maternity belt had a minimum value of 3 (mild pain), a maximum value of 6 (moderate pain) with an average of 4.44 (moderate pain), whereas the pain scale after using the maternity belt had a minimum value of 1 (mild pain), a maximum value of 2 (mild pain) with an average of 1.32 (mild pain). Conclusion: There is an effect of using a maternity belt on the reduction of the degree of pain before and after using the maternity belt by 3.12 where p=0.000 (p<0.05)

Abstract

Background: Below-knee amputations are the most common amputations in amputation patients. One of the mobility devices that can be used by amputation patients is a prosthesis. The main function of the prosthesis is to help its users be able to walk again and carry out activities normally . The appropriate type of prosthesis is a key factor in rehabilitation. The choice of foot prosthesis type is one of the factors that affect the gait parameter where in the gait parameter there is a walking speed factor. In most cases, the limb wearing the prosthesis does not compensate the amputated limb well, this can affect the speed of walking Method and Subject: This type of research uses analytical observational methods, with a cross-sectional research design. The subjects of this study were users of transtibial prosthesis type SACH foot and single-axis foot. The sample from this study was 16 respondents with purposive sampling techniques. The measuring instruments used in this study were meters and 10 MWT (Meter Walk Test). Results: Based on statistical tests using Mann Whitney, the results were found that there was a difference in walking speed in transtibial prosthesis users of SACH foot and single-axis foot types. Where the p-value (sig) < 0.05 is 0.001 with an effect size (large effect difference) of 0.83 which means it has a high or strong difference effect. Conclusion: there is a difference in walking speed in users of SACH foot and single-axis foot type prosthesis transtibials.

Abstract

Schizophrenia is a psychosocial disorder that affects behavior, feelings, strange delusions, and chaotic thinking patterns. Schizophrenia patients experience a decrease in life satisfaction and well-being related to physical, social, and psychological conditions in carrying out daily activities. Art therapy has the potential to be a way to minimize existing negative symptoms and overcome life stress. This study aims to determine the effect of tie-dye art therapy on the life satisfaction of schizophrenia patients at RSJD Dr. RM. Soedjarwadi Klaten. Research method: Quantitative research using a one-group pre-test-post- test pre-experimental design. The sampling technique uses purposive sampling. The research sample was 21 schizophrenia patients. Life satisfaction was measured using the Satisfaction With Life Scale (SWLS) instrument. Hypothesis testing uses the paired sample t-test. Research results: The sample was dominated by those aged 17-25 years (33.3%), men (61.9%), junior high school education (71.4%), and unmarried (42.9%). After the sample received 6 sessions of tie-dye art therapy treatment/intervention, the sample experienced an increase in the mean SWLS score. The life satisfaction hypothesis test showed a p-value of 0.000 (<0.05). This means that there is an influence of tie-dye art therapy on the life satisfaction of schizophrenia patients at RSJD Dr. RM. Soedjarwadi Klaten. In batik therapy, patients can express expressions that cannot be expressed directly, increasing happiness and increasing life satisfaction for schizophrenic patients in RSJ who are undergoing rehabilitation. Conclusion: Tie-dye art therapy influences the life satisfaction of schizophrenia patients at RSJD Dr. RM. Soedjarwadi Klaten.
